how do i get a sponsor for a van for children with special needs?

i am a multilink carer who looks after six children with Special Needs, only one at a time giving there parents a much needed break.I need a special adapted van or bus to be able to transport the children, on outings and trips. They are all in wheelchairs and are not able to be transported by car.I would be really greatfull if i could get someone to sponsor us as these vans or buses are too dear for us to buy but we are in urgent need of one.But do not have the funds needed to buy one.

Im not sure if I can help directly, unless you are in Hertfordshire.
I belong to the Masonic movement, and last year we bought a new adapted mini-bus for such folks as yourself, and for local kids. No publicity, just here are the keys.
If you let me know which county you reside, I could put you in touch with a local representative.
We lads are not what many mistakenly think, and go a long way to providing such items, when possible. The whole thing is a nice charitable arrangement, world-wide.
A van / minibus with electric lift on the back etc., should not be a huge issue.

    have u tried writing to local businesses or putting an add in local press/radio? also that £1 million pound giveaway on itv is good for things like that. good luck. btw do u need a driver?

    Are you in the UK? If so, you are unlikely to get anyone to sponsor you as a private individual. Companies would only be likely to give to charities, so I suggest you contact a local charity and link up with them to work on this,

    I know Betty Crocker Coupons do this, but it takes a million points or more. Write up a plea to be published in your local paper, the closest big city, and also send around to town leaders as listed in the Chamber of Commerce. Also, Lions, Elks, Eagles, VFW, American Legion, etc sometimes contribute or even take it up as a cause and work their asses off.

    get in touch with the variety club, i know they sponsor mini buses for children with special needs, they may only fund part of the cost but its worth looking into.

    Try asking all the local businesses, the Round Table, it will be hard going but there are always a few who care.

    There are a few options you might want to try out (a quick Google search will provide addresses as appropriate):

    The Variety Club of Great Britain
    Comic Relief/Sport Relief/Children In Need
    Robbie Williams' Give It Sum fund

    It might also be worth checking to see if your local newspaper or radio station do charity appeals, as they might be able to help.

    First Thank you for the work that you do and the much needed help it gives caregivers. I have some suggestions. First contact a van restorer place, they outfit vans for the handicapped and often will take in old vans for newer models. Send a letter and follow up to some churches and civic organization taking one or two of the children with you. Talk to the United Way, My friends daughter has profound CP a group of people that she knows put on a golfiing tournament for her every year (10 yrs now) this helps get a van, special wheel chair she needed, special bed

    What about local social work or grnats from council?
