You could try the local job and family services...they do state funded child care. They would tell you wether you qualify or not. They could also give you a list of state certified baby-sitters and you could call around and check the prices. Some of them may not charge as much as others. You might be able to find one that you would be able to pay out of pocket.

Good Luck!! I am a single mother of a 1 year old and I have my own place. I pay rent, car payment and the full price of daycare, not to mention the other bills and gas and food….
I can't get any help because they go by my income and my income is over their limits for help with day care and even food stamps! I do not make alot of money! I don't know where u live but where I live is not good with helping single working mothers.

Yeah I'm having the same issue here (although my baby won't be here for another month). You can contact your local social services department and you may qualify. In my opinion the qualifications in most states are ridiculous. The income cut-off is way too low especially in my area (the cost of living is outrageous). I don't qualify and I don't have any family in the area so I've just been searching/interviewing lots of different providers (unlicensed providers are usually cheaper, but you have to go with your gut with those ppl...if it feels right for you then go for it).

go to your welfare department worse case senario they will be able to point you in the right dirrection. also you could put an add in the paper tell them if they knock off some of the cost you wont claim childcare on your taxes meaning they wouldn't have to pay for that income at the end of the year

Depending on where you live, some offer a program called "daybreak", where they pay the majority of the childcare expenses. You have to already be working or in school.

You could go to your Health and Human service department, they pay for child care while you are searching for a job and when you get employment they will pay some of it.
